The Estonian medicinal products market, first quarter of 2008

The Estonian human medicinal products market was 736 million Estonian kroons (EEK) or 47 million Euros (EUR), in the first quarter of 2008 (in wholesaler prices). This includes both, prescription medicines and OTCs. The market increase was 10,75% in comparison to the same period in year 2007.

The increase in the first quarter of 2004/2005 was 5,1%, in 2005/2006 respectively 16,6% and 2006/2007 respectively 24,33%.

In addition to human medicinal products market the State Agency of Medicines compiles statistical reports about veterinary medicinal products market.

The Estonian veterinary medicinal products market was 26,3 million Estonian kroons (EEK) or 1,7 million Euros (EUR), in the first quarter of 2008 (in wholesaler prices). The market increase was 15% in comparison to the same period in year 2007.
