The Estonian medicinal products market, second quarter of 2008

The Estonian human medicinal products market was 751 million Estonian kroons (EEK) or 48 million Euros (EUR), in the second quarter of 2008 (in wholesaler prices). This includes both, prescription medicines and OTCs. The market increase was 12% in comparison to the same period in year 2007.
The increase in the second quarter of 2004/2005 was 6,5%, in 2005/2006 respectively 13,4% and 2006/2007 respectively 19,6%.

In addition to human medicinal products market the State Agency of Medicines compiles statistical reports about veterinary medicinal products market.

The Estonian veterinary medicinal products market was 39,9 million Estonian kroons (EEK) or 2,5 million Euros (EUR), in the second quarter of 2008 (in wholesaler prices). The market increase was 9% in comparison to the same period in year 2007.
