Total sale of medicinal products, first quarter of 2009
The Estonian human medicinal products market was 702 million Estonian kroons (EEK) or 45 million Euros (EUR), in the first quarter of 2009 (in wholesaler prices). This includes both, prescription medicines and OTCs. The market decrease was 1% in comparison to the same period in year 2008.
The increase in the first quarter of 2005/2006 was 16,6%, in 2006/2007 respectively 24,3% and 2007/2008 respectively 10,8%.
In addition to human medicinal products market the State Agency of Medicines compiles statistical reports about veterinary medicinal products market.
The Estonian veterinary medicinal products market was 26,0 million Estonian kroons (EEK) or 1,7 million Euros (EUR), in the first quarter of 2009 (in wholesaler prices). The market decrease was 1,2% in comparison to the same period in year 2008.
