Director General Dr Kristin Raudsepp delivered a presentation at the 12th International Conference of Drug Regulatory Authorities
Director General of the State Agency of Medicines delivered a presentation at the 12th International Conference of Drug Regulatory Authorities (ICDRA) in Seoul, South Korea. In the presentation, titled “Benchmarking the European medicines agencies: cooperation on quality systems”, she discussed the recent collaboration of the drug regulatory authorities of the European Union in the field of quality management. The presentation was part on the session dedicated to good review practices, which also included talks from the US FDA and regulators from South Korea and Saudi Arabia.
Deputy Director Dr Alar Irs chaired the session on pharmacoeconomics and delivered talks on linking evaluation of pharmacoeconomic studies across countries and on the monitoring of the opiate analgesics use. The latter presentation was part of the session “Access to treatment for severe pain: what can regulators do?”.
The four-day International Conference of Drug Regulatory Authorities (ICDRA) took place in Seoul, South Korea, April 3-6, and was the 12th time when the world’s drug regulators gather to exchange experiences and tighten collaboration. The conference was splendidly co-organised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Korean Food and Drug Administration. The participants came from over 80 countries, WHO, UNICEF and the European Medicines Agency (EMEA).
Estonian State Agency of Medicines has actively participated in all ICDRA conferences during its 15 years of existence.
