The yearbook analyzes the sale and consumption of medicines and the activities of pharmacies, based on data collected from wholesalers and pharmacies.
The Agency's statistics are divided into three main areas:
- Statistics on human medicines
- Statistics on veterinary medicines
- Pharmacy statistics
The Statistical Bureau of the State Agency of Medicines has been compiling overviews of Estonian pharmaceutical statistics since 1994. In 2002, pharmacy statistics were added, and since 2006, these data have been consistently published as statistical yearbooks. While the first books were printed on paper, in recent years, we have shifted to exclusively publishing e-books.
